To place an order, or if you need help finding the right piston rings, call Toll Free 1-877-338-3722Q & A — Catalog ReviewQ: Will you explain how the Deves catalog is organized? A: Since we get calls on the meanings of different specifications in the Deves catalog, I'll take this opportunity to put together a brief guide to the part of the publication that lists engineered sets, starting on page 1. First, the set application listings are organized alphabetically, primarily by manufacturer. In some cases, a line like Acura has its own listing separate from Honda. Cross references like "Edsel…see Ford" are included for ease of use. Then, the page is divided into 11 columns, each containing information to make sure customers select the correct set of rings. Column 1 -- Shows makes and model or piston manufacturer's name. Column 2 -- Gives model year or years. Column 3 -- Lists number of cylinders. Column 4 -- Lists standard bore size in millimeters and inches. Column 5 — 10 -- These columns are numbered 1 — 6 and entries under each number describe the type of ring and its groove width and function. For example, a listing that has 1.59 over 1-K means that the top ring groove width is 1.59 mm, and it is a straight compression ring. 1-SK designates a scraper ring, while 1-O means an oil ring. Entries under three numbers mean that the set contains three rings; four entries mean a four ring set, etc. Column 11 -- Lists the Deves set number to order. Tips:
